Cosmoverse 2024 Recap
The fourth edition of Cosmoverse, the legendary Cosmos conference and hackathon, just wrapped up in Dubai, and the DCF team had a blast sponsoring and attending. We spent four amazing days spreading the word about DCF, Agoric, Inter Protocol, and Tribbles, listening to compelling talks, meeting friends, old and new, and, of course, partying. Here’s a recap of the main events.
The Cosmoverse Expo Zone
Seeing people IRL and having deep and valuable conversations are among the main benefits of crypto events like Cosmoverse. This is the reason why the DCF team opted to spend most of our time at the Orchestration booth we had the pleasure of sharing with Agoric. We enjoyed meeting current and potential partners, BLD-obsessed market makers and exchanges, marketing experts and journalists thirsty for Tribbles, and builders impatient to explore Agoric’s Orchestration API. Many of them subscribed to the DCF Monthly Newsletter to stay in the loop on decentralization and ecosystem news, and you should definitely consider doing the same.
But there was one other major attraction pulling people towards the Agoric booth. The Tribbles lords had sent special fluffy envoys to Cosmoverse, and playing their claw machine was the only way to get one:

With the imminent launch and airdrop of the Tribbles meme coin, it was great to have the opportunity to explain what Tribbles is and invite the Cosmoverse attendees to participate. Join the Agoric Discord server and get the latest pre-qualifiers to be among the lucky ones.
The Cosmoverse Talks, Discussions, and Workshops
Apart from bringing Cosmos enthusiasts from the four corners of the globe to Dubai, Cosmoverse also offered world-class content, fireside chats, and discussions. As always, Agoric had a special place at the Cosmoverse stage, because can there really be a Cosmoverse without a Dean Tribble keynote?
Many people have been observing Agoric growing and maturing in parallel with Cosmoverse over the last four years. The 2024 edition, though, coincided with an important milestone for the Agoric team, namely the release of the Orchestration API. Watch Agoric’s CEO presenting it:
Dean also took part in a panel discussion examining the intersection of blockchain technology and artificial intelligence, and more specifically, its use cases across Cosmos. Check out his conversation with Akash Network’s Greg Osuri, Arka Network’s Murthy Vitwit, and Cyber’s Valery Litvin:
Agoric’s Head of Ecosystem, Jeet Raut also graced the Cosmoverse stage to join a panel discussion on DeFi 2.0. In the meantime, DevRel Jovonni Smith-Martinez held a keynote and two workshops to familiarize developers with the Ochestration API and the cross-chain optimizations it makes possible.
The Cosmoverse Parties
FlixFest 2024 was the hottest of Dubai’s hotspots on Day 1 of Cosmoverse. Organized by OmniFlix and proudly sponsored by DCF, FlixFest assembled la crème de la crème of Cosmos builders, founders, and fans. Discover some photos to feel the FlixFest vibe (and see Dean Tribble playing beer pong) below:
Don’t forget that you can still buy Tribbles NFTs, Batch 1, 2, and 3, on the OmniFlix secondary market, and qualify for future rewards.
The second Cosmoverse day was concluded with an overcrowded Agoric pool party. The team was so overwhelmed with the number of people willing to enter that they forgot to take any photos, but we can assure you it was great.
On the other hand, all people were doing at the MANTRA-powered afterparty was taking pictures, simply because the venue was truly spectacular:
The DCF team attended Cosmoverse 2024 with the strategic objectives of building our brand, popularizing our work, and connecting with partners and collaborators. We aimed to support Agoric, Inter Protocol, and Tribbles in constructing strong narratives and building a resilient community. Not only did we achieve all our goals, but we managed to initiate high-value projects and lasting friendships. Here’s to more Cosmos adventures in the future!
